Sergio and All Could the following add some more fuel to the Amigos fire? Navare (NAVR) Distributes prerecorded music and personal computer software - sold to more than 500 customers. Digital Entertainment is Navarre's CD-ROM publ. co. Last year they bought all the share of NetRadio Network - leading internet radio station. For most of the past year volume has been under 25,000. Price of stock has been in the low 2's Starting later part of March, volume has been creeping up. Week of April 13th Mon. 509,000 - Tues. 690,800,- Wed. 464,000,- Thurs. 349,700 - Fri. 658,900 - Fridays close 5 1/2. Personal note: This has been sitting in my portfolio since May, 96 waiting, I thought, to be used as a loss to offset gains. Back in 96 Dallas Research & Trading was manipulating the stock - Not once, but twice - Did well in the first round - it went up to 32, split and came back to 12. Second round, bought at 12 and downhill from there. Volume seems to be following the first round. Salton Maxim Housewares (SALT) - Designs small kitchen appliances, and personal beauty-care appliances and decorative quartz and alarm clocks. The company's products are sold under the Salton Maxim, Breadman, Juiceman (those infomercials) It contracts for the manufacture of most of its products with independent mfgs located primarily in Asia and Europe. The company sells its products to dept. store chains, gourmet merchants, direct-mail, warehouse clubs etc. Volume generally under 20,000. Since end of March has been picking up - 4 days in April well over 100,000 share traded. Yesterday volume was the normal high area - until about 2:00. Within 2 hours over 2 million shares traded. Got a chance to look at quote.com near closing - blocks 400,000, 100,000 etc. - trades averaged about 10 1/2 - 10 3/4 - Closed at 11 1/8 Notes: 50 % of shares owned by Wyndmere - Problems between WND and SALT mgmt - Allen Hart, principal of Hart Holdings (owns 400,00 shares of SALT) is calling for a merger or a suitable third party. "Failure of the company's common stock price to grow at a rate comparable with its peer group is a result of many factors" Press releases are available on Yahoo. It is my understanding that Conair (privately held company - Cuisinart, etc.) is looking for new acquisitions.......... Lois
