Yeah,

Big implications if some smart-ass promoter schmoozes a fat and lazy intellectually deficient major into over-paying (roughly 3:1). Otherwise we will evolve nicely into a world mining project :-).

I am always a little cynical when companies are in negotiations with the gov't on tax rates/electricity rates etc. The VB project may in fact be uneconomical with the current regime but thats why Inco is currently trying to negotiate a different set of rules with NFLD. Also, does Goldman act or have they acted for Inco in the past. Most likely be lots more rhetoric in the next few months over this project which may lead to volatility in stock price of Inco and which may impact on SVB.

donkeyman,Not any implications whatsoever from that Goldman Sachs base metals reports on SVB. Again, again, the market prices discount everything (except "Acts of God" because they reflect the combined market activities [SVB INDEX] of thousands of investors [that GS analyst is one of them, he was preparing his reports may be in December, 1997. you clearly see no implications at all; the SVB stock prices, and volumes have shifted gear, the POWERFUL MARKET MOMENTUM HAS GENERATED.] including the greatest foresight and the best information on trends and events, the prices in their day-to-day fluctuations discount everything known, everything foreseeable, and every condition which can affect the supply of, or the demand for these SVB stocks. Even unpredictable natural calamities when they happen are quickly appraised and their possible effects discounted.

Regards,

John...
