M,

I was down at CompUSA the other day, as saw an Intel BX440 motherboard. I looked at the information provided and was extremely disappointed at what was provided. I couldn't tell much about the board. The manual was 'thick' enough, but written in 8 or 9 languages, so that only about 6-8 pages were in english!

It did have a separate slot for the CPU babyboard, and I assume that would be the card that I would be changing as I 'upgraded' as new CPUs came out. I assume that the memory would continue to be on the 100Mhz motherboard. What happens when the RDRAM comes out and that will run (I understand) up to 800Mhz? Will have have to upgrade to another motherboard, or will the memory move to the CPU babyboard?

As for the test results, could the CPU clocking be advance or retarded in the individual machines an alter the results?

Regards,

Ken
