Dwight, this argument isn't going anywhere. Here again, as you have many times in the past--probably because you conceptualize homosexuals as sinners--you lump them into the same category with criminals and alcoholics. We have discussed this before, so I guess you are just not listening, but I will try once more to explain the difference.

Alcoholics and drug addicts have an illness. They are not evil, they are addicted, but I am not surprised that according to your black and white world view you would consider this sinful. There is lots of scientific information to suggest that they are "self-medicating" because of serotonin imbalances in the brain, and that this pain-killing behavior can sometimes have a genetic component as well. In any case, they need treatment, and while they are drinking or using drugs they are not very reliable employees. Certainly if an active alcoholic came in for a job interview, it would be prudent not to hire him. The reason is that his JOB PERFORMANCE may well be impaired.

Homosexuals are in another category. Not only is homosexuality a trait, but whether a person is sexually attracted to members of the same or opposite sex has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with job performance.

So again, you are comparing apples to oranges, although I am not sure why. I guess you must be trying to rationalize discriminating against homosexuals in employment, but I think you are looking at them with such preconceived notions of them as "sinners" who are abhorrent, that you cannot see clearly. I hardly ever think about what someone may do in the privacy of their home, usually within a committed relationship, sexually, when I am sitting at work with the other employees. In fact, I think it is strange to fixate on this tiny aspect of a whole person, whose work performance has absolutely nothing to do with sexual identity at all.
