I didn't capitulate, I just didn't feel it was worth arguing about. I think that "sick" is a stronger statement than "abhorrent", with a different nuance.

"Twisting" and "twisted", could be viewed as different, I agree. Nevertheless, you described my religious beliefs as "twisting", implying some outward intent directed against homosexuals, which is NOT true. Those beliefs ARE precisely what I have believed, long before we entered this discussion of homosexuality.

and then my citing posts where you said you would certainly fire one.

But Christine, you DIDN'T cite posts where I said "I would certainly fire one". I DID NOT DO THAT.

I said I MAY fire one, and I meant that I legally speaking, BECAUSE Greystone was legally speaking when he said I MAY NOT.

And even when you seem to be writing a straightforward statement, like this one, you manage to slur homosexuals by insinuating they commit a lot of offenses, by implication.

Okay, how's this for straightforward:
Homosexuals who are open about their sexual preference are implying that they do engage in homosexual sex, and enjoy it, and THAT is "committing offenses" in my eyes, and is OFFENSIVE.
When I see someone drunk from alcohol, THAT is offensive to me also, and THAT PERSON is offending me.

The only way to never be offended in this life is to throw out all moral and religious guidance, and I'm not going to do that. I just accept that fact that I will occasionly be offended.

Okay? Now do you feel like I'm more clear and straightforward?
