Marcos, I know that Alan or Nancy was talking with me about this issue of Jesus' appearance at one time. I thought they said he was a Sephardic Jew. These are the North African Jews who have always lived around the Mediterranean, correct? And they have thick, often curly hair, and dark brown skin? I know that even today in Israel, they are of a lower, disadvantaged, caste, and do all the scut work and have high rates of unemployment.

I suspect the Arabs there, and the Sephardic Jews, all came from the same tribes, and split off at some point, but that is a wild guess, and I do not mean to insult anyone by saying it. I do think there are a lot of people who believe Jesus had white skin and blue eyes, and this cannot have been the case, really.

It always puzzles me that people like the KKK and the other white supremacists hurt people in Jesus' name. First of all, that is antithetical to what he stood for, but also, he was brown!!! Why are these white supremacists worshipping someone they would love to hate if he lived next door? It just doesn't make much sense to me.

I wonder if 'Sephardic' and 'Semitic' originally meant the same thing?
