DCF, Bible thumpers are no more ethical or moral than any other group of people. You are operating under a delusion if you really believe that "the church of what's happening now" is anything other than people trying to do the very most right, appropriate and loving things, that do not hurt other people.

Feelings are very important. If you bottle them all up, you will get pretty sick, emotionally and sometimes physically. Being able to think independently, and knowing the most ethical behavior without having to depend on a Bible to tell you what that is, is generally considered an evolved way to live, not something to deprecate like you are doing at the moment.

OF Course,
did not say: "thus sayeth man"
did say "thus sayeth the Lord"

Some have a hard time not judging others

Thanks for the support, DCF, and you're right, the USA is immersed in the Cult of Self. Another example --> Nobody cares to stay at home and personally raise their kids anymore--> It's almost become embarrasing to admit that you're a stay-at-home Mom nowdays. What's far more acceptable is for Mothers to have a full-time career, because after all, what's more important: more money, or to raise your kids with lots of personal attention?

I do think that attitude is slowly changing though, as slowly more pop superstars (that's who's admired most) discover that being a parent is a rather fulfilling and important job.
