Joe, you are asking the wrong guy. I was happy with my 6x86 P133+ but Paul Engel took me to task. Now that I have a PII/300, Paul generally leaves me alone. I am happier ... but my kid is still beating me with his P5/150. IMHO, if a full-grown man is ever to beat a kid, it's gonna take either nerves of steel or a P8/1000.

TOM et al is so stupid I can't say enough about it. A 6x86MX at PR200+ was fast enough for anyone short of a professional programmer. The Celeron rates sub-zero on CPQ tests but responds gloriously on Tom's tests (Tom had not posted anything for a year but NOW he justs loves his overclocked Celeron). IMHO, "Tom" performs his tests with one hand free for "human endeavors".

Winstone 98 is punishing the MII. Tom is now entranced by the K6 and paid by Intel. So what's new? The only guys who read this stuff post here because the Street is obviously unimpressed by any of this "noise".

IMHO, we already have more CPU power than was intended by God.
