Angela,

In contrast, our local Best Buy has several of both the 8m and 12m voodoo2 cards and less Encores. I'm sure the voodoo2's won't last long though <ggg>.

I'm not surprised to hear of incidents of glitches with the Encore package. This is a leading edge technology and, therefore, will always run into some compatibility problems. Nevertheless, as pointed out earlier 85% of all DVD's sold in February in retail stores came CREAF. In addition, it has received excellent reviews from many many industry publications. I find it hard to believe that it would have such a high market share and would be getting such praise in the media if it wasn't a generally solid product.

As for how Encore itself will impact earnings it's hard to say. They are obviously getting a very high market share, however, the entire market is still just starting. In addition, I suspect that at the latest prices margins aren't tremendous. The key is that they are getting a foothold on a major new industry.

Good luck,

FF
