You should not depend on TM, but make your own judgement. I sent him a PM on KPG when it was selling at 3 3/16, and earnings where less than 1 wk. away, and the PR people were telling others on phone" every one would be happy" TM never replied and Kpg went to 6 1/2 next day after release, but I had done my DD and able to make my own call.

I do agree that it would be nice to have 2nd opinion, perferable
devils advociate as so to make sure we (I) haven't been lazy in doing DD

RE: RNTK vs. other stocks and long term vs short term, etc.

RNTK, whether you own it or not, illustrates the fundamental difference in short term vs long term STOCK PLAYERS.

When you buy a stock like RNTK, you need to realize that this is like a BIOTECH stock. You are looking for a HOME RUN. You are banking on an "all or nothing" thing.

I generally don't like this type of stock...it is a gamble, but as long as you weigh the risk, go ahead. RNTK looks worth a gamble to me, but I don't own it. I much prefer those stocks that are very solid for the long run with a high possibilty of running up short term. That way if the short term run-up doesn't happen, I still have a great intermediate or long term stock. Now.............here's the two types of people involved in RNTK and stocks like it.

THE LONG TERM PERSON WOULD SAY: What do I care if I buy it at 18 cents or $3.00, if it goes to $20? True enough, just don;t be the type of person that gets nervous on no news if it drops to $1.25. You must remind yourself that delays don't matter, as long as there is no bads news, you will stay the course. I find this really tough to do, personally.

THE SHORT TERM TRADER WOULD SAY: Geese, I want to protect my profits...now that RNTK looks like the big deal might be delayed or who knows, not happen at all, maybe I should sell now and use my money on another daytrade, then get back into RNTK at lower levels. It looks like dead money right now. They will often buy and sell several times on a "home run" type stock.

You have both these types of people in RNTK....just plan your approach and act accordingly.

MY PHILOSOPHY
I personally find it much better to wait until the announcement or until pretty solid rumors start up (watch the volume increase)......it this thing goes, it will go much higher and I will still double or triple with almost no risk and no time wasted on a temporary dead investment. I can make money on the money I would have had tied up in RNTK.

just some free thoughts,
DAVE....
