I will have to do a search on that book as it would be interesting to see what words are "borrowed" from Yiddish also. I can't think of any right now, would you list a few of the new ones? Seeing as over 80% of English words have been "borrowed" and the language is always changing and being added to, it certainly boggles the mind. To perfect English must very difficult for those learning. It is easy enough to be functional in English.
