Greg, What Martin accomplished was through direct, personal interaction. The ideas and philosophy he espoused finally lit the match under the tar pit of prejudice. But it took direct and personal interaction. We are removed from the "direct and personal" on this medium. I honestly believe many of the people involved in feuds on SI could potentially become fast friends if they met in real life. Mind you, most of the feuds do not deal with prejudice. That is just as likely to turn as ugly in real life as it does with atomic bits orbiting this venue. I view the current Internet as the Wild West of our electronic age. Mostly free and uncensored, anything can happen. Accordingly, it often does. Hal
