Here's an interesting article I just read in latest issue of Fortune.
Great title -
MICROSOFT: Is Your Company Its Next Meal ?

Now even the giants of the FORTUNE 500
have reason to fear: To maintain its historic
growth rates, Microsoft must win big in a
slew of new business

What really caught my is Microsoft's entry into the Travel Reservation business: pathfinder.com

Check out these figures:

U.S. travel agency sales: $120 billion

Online Market - According to Jupiter, in 1997 online travel agencies booked $911 million in hotel, plane, and other reservations.

Microsoft Inroads - Microsoft says its Expedia Web travel agency processed more than $100 million in reservations last year 1997.
