Paul, thanks for the research on Stanford. I e mailed them to see how dwm was coming along. I forwarded a copy to techlist members, maybe IAUS will respond, may be interesting who will if anyone respond first. *Bob*

Paul, you are correct about Dr. Lusignian. I spoke to him shortly after the announcement (see post # 1185). The 35K is supposed to be a "grant" with no strings attached.

Paul,

>>I did some checking on that arrangement that IAS made with Stanford -- the Communications Satellite Planning Center that IAS contracted with at Stanford is a very tiny outfit -- I'm not sure, but I think it's just one professor. I searched Stanford's Web pages and the only place I can get a hit on the center is at ee.stanford.edu , the personal page of the guy in charge of it. It is not listed under Stanford's extensive list of research programs.

You have to use one of the special browser plug-ins downloaded from the wrecked saucer in order to view the project web-site. Remember DWM cannot be seen by ordinary modems or Java applets on the internet.

Cheers,

Norm

Heard about this co. from someone. Checked their site. Does that photo of the store construction look doctored? The sign looks suspicious. It moves location in two of the shots and seems to have some aliasing around it. Also there is no phone listing for the store yet. Anybody been able to call the store. Also the projected profits spread, from 120k to 800k, looks a little, um, optimistic. Somebody tell me something good.
