Thanks for all the info. you have posted Gary. I'm still unclear as to why Arcon would provide you all this knowing you'd post it on the Internet - if they wanted it out in public, why not publish the info. themselves? Anyhow, I'll keep working on my DD. I plan to read up on the properties of 1,1,1 trimethoxypentane and see what's been reported about it in the scientific literature - maybe Arcon HAS come across a novel low cost, way to make oxygenates with unique properties that no-one else has found. Time will tell. Gordon
