jbe/ not sure if this helps re: Lakehead Pipeline - there's a website at lakehead.com Personally I'm not totally familiar with Lakehead although it appears the Canadian portion of the pipeline is owned by Interprovincial Pipelines which trades on Toronto under the symbol IPL. It's also on NASDAQ as IPPIF. IPL's website is at ipw.iplenergy.com A great free source for Canadian listed situations is David carlson's site at fin-info.com For doing your screening I can't really help you - in Canada I think a decent source may be Stock Guide Publications and they're based in Ontario, possibly Thornhill.

Profile/Backgrounder (for others reviewing this message)

Lakehead Pipe Line Partners, L.P. (the Partnership) is a publicly traded master limited partnership which owns the United States portion of the world's longest liquid petroleum pipeline. Combined with the Canadian portion of the pipeline System owned by Interprovincial Pipe Line Inc., the operationally integrated pipeline System (the System) spans approximately 3,200 miles across North America and has been in operation since 1950. The system serves as a common carrier transporting Western Canadian crude oil and natural gas liquids to refining centers in the midwestern United States and eastern Canada. During 1996, deliveries by the Partnership averaged 1,451,000 barrels per day.

Lakehead Pipe Line Company, Inc., the General Partner for the Partnership, conducts the operations of the Partnership through services agreements with subsidiaries of IPL Energy of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

The General Partner holds an approximate 18 percent interest in the Partnership. The remaining 82 percent, represented by 20,090,000 Preference Units, is held by approximately 35,000 registered or beneficial owners. The Partnership's Preference Units are traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "LHP".
