IBM is using the K6 in the Aptiva line, which is their HOME line of PCs. According to their web site, the business line uses exclusively Intel Pentium and PII processors.

IBM doesn't use AMD in the business line!

Which illustrates the main point I have to make on the subject. AMD and CYRIX will sell processors for home market PCs. But they are exceeding unlikely to make significant inroads in the corporate environment. You may think that's stupid, but that's the way corporate buyers think, and with good reason. As Roger said, a small savings on the upfront purchase price will be wiped out by one hardware or software compatibility problem.
