Pierre:

Just to clear up a little misconception: This device was not designed for hospital use. It was designed for use by paramedics and military medics. Although it has its value in the hospital setting (fairly extensive in the long run, although numerous ideas have yet to be explored - like sternal bone marrow biopsy, administration of long-term drugs etc.) the current primary target market is outside the hospital, as I understand it.

However, it is standard practice to test all street products in a clean, safe environment before putting it into the much less controlled environment of the street. So the question is not "why aren't the hospitals placing orders?", but "why aren't the ambulance services placing orders?", and the answer is simple - they need to await the results of the hospital trials.

You must admit that Michael Jacobs' timing is impeccable: at the time the trials are winding up, the company will be ready to swing into full production. Too early, and he would have product sitting around gathering dust. Too late, and he would have orders and no product. This man knows his stuff.

As always, long on Pyng.
