You are missing the point, but you seem to rather be sarcastic than see both sides of an investment.

Being a straddler is not demeaning and can make ALOT of money

take a look at the volatility of the S&P 500 index

believe me, you do not achieve your goal by calling me a straddler.

The point I was making is if it were so simple as you indicated in that anyone would know that Seek would be down like it was Friday, then they should have gotten out the day before and bought back in lower.

What would be your explanation for not getting out at a 17% higher price and buying back in at a 17% lower price if you KNEW it was going to happen?

The fact is you did not know it would do that and you were oversimplifying it.
