Nancy..Metastock 6.5..I used the experts in the beginning to learn. But you can do your own 'experts' after a while. I got some add-ons to the metastock program by Martin Pring. (the super CD Companion) and (Indicator Companion) they helped me in understanding some of the indicators. I keep it simple. I like Linear Regression slope, Market Facilitation Index, Profundity and the general ones like volatility, relative strength, general technical picture. I've used the MACD, Stochastics, Moving Average Crossovers, Bollinger Bands, etc. Sometimes I read the Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commoditiesand add some "explorations" from there.

I can't wait until metastock goes real-time. Just play with it a while. Investment styles are different, consequently indicators, indicator combinations, and 'explorations' you will like will be different as well.

There is an excellent thread which is focused on Metastock formulas. Lots of good ideas, indicators and general help. "Metastock 6.0 for Windows" is the title. A virtual goldmine of TA tips and tricks.
