Chuca,
You could take a piece of rock or a hand full of dirt from anywhere on this plant and get a multi element spec done on it and the results will come up with all sorts of minerals and elements in it. Try it some time and you will see what I mean. It doesnt cost all that much to get a sample run for 32 or 64 elements and you could get a whole rock analysis thrown in.
The question is "Can you mine it and recover those minerals economically?" that is another story.
If someone does come up with a radical new method for recovering the stuff then you could open a mine just about anywhere but the price of most of the stuff would plummet. The old law of supply and demand.
Something to think about.
