Hi Paul,

Insomnia made me look at some the early posts
in this thread. It is interesting to verify once
more the validity of the dictum
'the more it changes the more it stays the same.'

Maybe this week things will change?!

PS. On the optimistic side of things.
I am particularly interested in the business opportunities
that the financial crisis in Japan is presenting us. Shouldn't
we start a thread on Japanese Financial Institutions? Is there anything positive we have learned from our own experience? Does
anyone remember the sorry state of our Banks in the early 90's?

(OFF TOPIC)

Paul,

Speaking of debt, Monday's WSJ had a good article on the front page (Outlook) about the deteriorating credit standards practiced by banks in this country.

More seeds being sewn.
