Bill--- The Y2K problem at all levels is huge. It will have many negative effects but most will be corrected. Evidently many people were born after computers became commonplace and believe humans can no longer count or make decisions. Many large complex businesses believe they are or will be compliant on 1/1/00 but will find they are not. A day or a week of additional workhours using a simple adding machine or taking charge of factory operations is not something that has never been done before. There will be some terrible problems but only those over reacting now will have the serious problems. Actually, I think it may be profitable to corner the market on rope now and to plan a New Years party on top of a tall building... some that are afraid now may want rope then,,, or will leave the party from the top floor even if the elevators do not work. Those spreading hype and fear have a self fulfilling agenda....
Too many laughs here to stay ...............
