I don't think that any of the networkers have been helped by AT&T's Cisco related problems last week either. But I'm sure glad the routers weren't NN's.

I view the AT&T outage differently. With a shut-down like this, the message is loud and clear the system's not sufficient to handle the new demands. The Internet is here to stay. It's growing by unprecedented rates. The old voice system's got to change. Far from hurting the networkers, this will reinforce the need for upgrades. The minute I heard about the fiasco, I did a silent, "Yes!" Not that I want anyone to have disasters, but that I want the telcos to get off their corporate duffs and face the truth of what has to be done.

NN and Siemens' MainStreetXpress has the solutions these guys need. I see the tide turning.
