we cant predict the price would drop to 20 in 96 or 26.
In Fall 97, i hope coms would drop to 25, cisco 45, tlab 32, but
it didnt happen. Even recently, I would hope intel to drop below
70 but it isn't. For AMAT, I would comfortable at the PE of 20
for less than its growth rate. I believe it's one of the semi-equip
could overcome the ASIA down-turn. Its valuation is more attractive
than its peers, e.g., KLAC, NVLS, etc. thought it could go lower
from here. It has beaten estimates twice since the ASIA tumoil.
Without ASIA uncertainty, it shouldn't be traded 35. The OCT 97
wasnt like the OCT 87 like a lot of people were afraid of.
The Bronco's won does not cause the bear market like people thought.
So I am not worry that AMAT will be AMAT in the past but prepare
some cash for some set back. Most of stocks without uncertainty like CSCO,
LU, YAHOO, and drugs, etc are overprice. Who know INTEL would be end
up like now when it was 102?
