Take a look over on the Kopin website (www.kopin.com), for competing microdisplay technology. Has a pretty good layout....spec sheet; pricing, etc. BUT.....only 320X240 pixels (76,800 pixels, about 1/4 VGA; sized like a 5 inch diagonal image at 18 inches distance). Won't cut it, when the other stuff (VGA....full webpage picture and dimensions, and resolution equivalent to a 17" monitor at 3 ft.) is apparently coming from TFS/Siliscape, Inc.

It sounds crazy, but I think the Kopin display may be TOO small !!! It needs about 10X more pixels to be competitive. The market appears it may "leapfrog" the present Kopin offering, before they get sales. (All that R&D money, spent for essentially nothing???) This is just my opinion.

Still, Kopin has an educational website, in the microdisplay area.
