Truman:What effect will this year 2000 problem have on corporations
and Governments whose fiscal year commence on July 1 and October 1 ?
If there is an effect,will I see the calamity begin in 14 and 17 months;i.e.,Jul.1 1999 and Oct.1 1999?

It's hard to believe these large international clearing houses referred to in your post are not busily working on revising their computer programs. All they need to do is add another line to their programs. " If year = greater than 50, then 19: If year = less than 50, then year = 2000."

Besides, I thought Singapore already melted down last fall in the Asian currency debacle. Do you think there's more left there to melt down ? :-))
