I'll bet you probably anything that not only would Grandma not mind but would be deeply hurt if she didn't get that call. Of course, you could head on out to the hospital and just hang out there, drink coffee and watch the big screen, eat hospital food, and wait. Not an ideal date, but it has its merits.
