Marcos, I'm talking beliefs.

But "... feeling shame for sin, running from God, and subsequent denial that there is a God."? .... aw c'mon .... that's just silly

Silly to you, because you are agnostic. Not silly to me, because I'm a Christian. What I said about shame for sin and running from God is part of my religious beliefs. If you don't share my religious beliefs, then just say so. And if you want to call them silly, then surely you have that right.

I believe in God. I believe mankind is accountable to God for his actions. You say an "Agnostic" just means "one who knows he doesn't know [that there is a God, right?]" So if you KNOW you don't KNOW, an agnostic is saying they are NOT CAPABLE of knowing that there is a God. Therein lies the denial of the existence of God. It's like putting your hands over your ears and saying "I can't hear. How come I can't hear".

Take your hands off your ears, and you might be able to hear. Ever notice, marcos, how Christine gets so upset whenever I use the word "sin"? In fact, Christine vehemently criticizes me whenever I use that word to describe any act, word, or deed. This is because Christine does NOT BELIEVE in the concept of "wrong in the eyes of God", which is what sin is. Therefore, she doesn't believe in sin. Christine even continually suggests that I am a bigot because I believe in the concept of sin. When I said I believe alcohol abuse is "sin", Christine practically began levitating with self-righteous rage because I dared to use the word "sin", which SHE doesn't believe in! And yet, she claims to be some kind of neutral-sounding agnostic. She's far from neutral from what I can see.

Then others here have denied that anything that mankind is capable of committing against fellow humans is "evil". There are only "unfortunate events", and "illegal acts", but no "wrong". The reason, marcos? Because these "agnostics" most vehemently oppose the idea of "evil", because that suggests and indeed means supernatural evil force., ie Satan. Christine laughs at the idea of Satan, and does NOT believe in Satan. She said that since Christians made up the idea of Satan, that we can have him.

Christine is no neutral party here, marcos. She's vehemently against anything suggesting that mankind is subserviant and responsible to a supernatural being who created us, and "right". And also of course, she and others here disbelieve the concept of Satan, and "wrong". Christine won't even grant ME the right to believe something is "sin". When I say I believe alcohol abuse is "sin", Christine goes ballistic with criticism. No, Christine is no neutral agnostic. She's a woman on a mission -- to deny the existence of God.
