I really think shorting Iomega around the
mid 7's is a pretty stupid move.
Is it really? After every forward looking negative announcement, IOM has had a bounce, but each bounce has seen lower highs than the previous bounce. How reliable can management projections be when they completely failed to address the issue of competition from Sony at the conference call? What I found most telling about management prognostications during the conference call was the fact that they were very willing to project a profit three quarters into the future, but refused to give any forward looking revenue projections for this coming quarter. Face it, that's just plain corrupt. Does any serious investor want to invest in such a company. I tell you what Van. Instead of responding with a sarcastic remark, why don't you post a message on why one would want to invest that is cash flow negative, refuses to give any revenue projections for the next quarter but confidently projects a profit three quarters from now when competition from the world's leader is coming on line. It would seem to me if you can't project next quarter's revenues, you have no ability to project any kind of revenue and hence profit or loss during the third quarter.
