All: Since my introduction to this thread and welcome by max90 I've tried to find something up to par. CLYS seemed definitely vertical--a little too vertical. So, I went for BNYN, instead at 9 and change. I think BNYN is worthy of this threads inspection. However, right now I think AXR is definitely worth a look. AMREP Corp. is a R.E. housing developer and builder, a national distributor of magazines, and a provider of subscription fulfillment services for publishers. According to the Yahoo profile: For the nine months ended 1/31/98, revenues rose 23% to $128.2 million. Net income rose from $932 thousand to $7.2 million. Revenues reflect 497 units delivered vs. 403, and a number of large commercial land sales in New Mexico. Earnings also benefited from increased margins due to the commercial land sales. I started watching it from IBD over a month ago when it hovered around 9.5 +. There is a thread but so far it's just the guy who started it and a quick note from me asking why the price drop. If it seems like a bottom is being reached then it may be a good trade. JMHO. Yahoo also has its book as $11+. I'm still learning so can't give you more details than that but if it looks good to me maybe it'll look good to one of you. I'll keep an I out for any replies. And lastly, VPUR, Vermont Pure Water holdings is traded on the Nasdaq Small-Cap and I'm in it at $4 1/4. Hasn't done a whole lot but I'm excited by its recent turn to profitability and the fact that this morning I saw their water bottles in both the cafeteria in my building and the deli on the corner. Could be a sleeper. Well, how ya like them apples? Semper Fortuna Oscuro
