Two dumb questions for the thread:

1) CRLBF was scheduled to report earnings (before the bell) on Friday the 17th. Not a peep yet. Is that a bad sign? How do I find out when they will report/have reported? Do I call Investor Relations, or is there an easier way?

2) Second question is really OFF TOPIC.

Folks, I am into cement as well as into the oilpatch. (Go, cement!) One company I own (Southdown) is merging with one I do not own (Medusa). The deal was announced in March, and will be consummated in late June. Does it make sense to buy stock in the company being merged (Medusa) in anticipation of a run-up prior to the merger? (The sector is thriving.)

Thanks.
