IPOs and TDDDF

TDDDF does look to have based - nice pick, nice time to enter.

I never play IPO's per se, as my methods require some data for the neural net to analyze and usually, the IPO does one of two things - fizzles or rockets. If it fizzles, I wait until I have about 2 weeks of data to revisit with TA, and two months data with the net. By that time I have gottn over the market hype/exuberance and the stock should have settled into a 'normal' pattern. Also, since right now the IPO's are greasing the skids for their stock by giving Excutives of other companies who tout/partner/work with them large blocks they can off at release to make some big bucks, it sort of taints the whole process. Not just professionally, but technically, as there will be large blocks offed initially to those who can then resell immediately to drive the price up.

My stratgy is always to wait for IPO's, but there are others who enter immediately with a lot of success. For me that just takes too much research and analysis on the company ahead of time. Being lazy, I just wat 2-8 weeks and buy at local minimums if I think the enterprise has potential and is indicated.

As for BRCM, I feel sorry for the folks that bought it above its opening price - some paid $60-70 and now its about $50 I think. The lower the IPO price the better in my opinion. You have to have a lot of initial capitalization to justify a $50 IPO price for as many shares as they offed - too much downsize potential.
