$100,000 budget approved for work on South Voisey's Bay JV Cypress Minerals Corp CYP Shares issued 13,970,781 Apr 17 close $0.67 Mon 20 Apr 98 News Release See BMA Mining Corp (BMA) News Release Mr Donald Huston reports A first phase exploration budget of up to $1 00,000 has been approved for work on the Cypress/BMA northwestern block in the South Voisey's Bay joint venture in Labrador. The Cypress/BMA claim group adjoins to the north ground held by Donner Minerals and Northern Abitibi upon which an expenditure of $5.8 million has been budgeted for exploration work in 1998. The budget for the entire SVBJV will be over $13.5 million, making it one of the largest exploration programs of its type anywhere in the world. The work program on the Cypress/BMA claim group will likely include geological mapping, prospecting, line cutting and ground geophysics to extend the geologically prospective gabbro unit on adjoining properties further to the north. Following the phase one exploration program, the Cypress/BMA joint venture will consider some follow-up work including diamond drilling. Donner Minerals is a partner in the joint venture.
