Scott used to post on the Amati thread and is definitely knowledgeable. He was off on the timing of GTE's deployment, but everyone else was, too. Heck, even the companies involved were in the dark. Guess that's the way the system works.

There's a great article involving CSCO and CIEN posted on the CIEN thread today. Check it out --- gives CSCO's 5-step plan for highspeed bandwidth in the back bone.
