Announces the Placement of Peter
Norton PC Guru Into TJ Maxx Stores

Business Editors & High-Tech Writers

CULVER CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS
WIRE)--April 22, 1998--MediaX Corp.
(OTC:MXMX) Wednesday announced its shipment
of Peter Norton PC Guru into TJ Maxx stores.
Recently, TJ Maxx has started selling software in
selected stores and MediaX is pleased that PC Guru
is a participant in this new venture.
MediaX confirmed the initial unit shipment of
Peter Norton PC Guru through its distributor Softkat
to selected stores from its 1100-store chain. TJ Maxx
has carried software for about one year and currently
carries only 50-60 CD-ROM titles.
Traditionally, TJ Maxx has been a discount
clothing and home accessories store catering to
women. TJ Maxx is the largest off-price apparel
retailer in the United States offering items 20-60
percent below department store regular prices.
Nancy Poertner, president of MediaX,
commended this partnership, stating: "It is a great
chance for us to reach the 25- to 50-year-old female.
It is also a great marketplace to reach the
nontraditional software consumer who might not
have been in a computer store since the purchase of
their PC."
This has been part of MediaX's widespread
campaign to reach yet-untapped consumer resources
through alternative advertising avenues.
This includes an in-progress three-month,
nationwide, 24-hour, seven-day-a-week radio
campaign with Virginia-based Business News
Network (BNN), and a VNR with the first broadcast
currently distributed through DWJ, one of the most
successful producers and placers of television
programming for corporate and public relations
agency clients.
Founded in 1996, MediaX is an award-winning
developer and publisher of multimedia educational
and entertainment software, as well as software
development tools for 3-D technology. The company
also produces and publishes new media
entertainment content for entertainment companies.
With headquarters in Culver City, MediaX owns
and operates a production facility in Santa Cruz,
Calif. Additional information is available on the
World Wide Web at www.mediax.com.
