No I have not. Thanks for that. Guess who grew the fastest in the MPU segment last year. (granted from a miniscule 1996 base + it may be a bit unfair to say LSI grew the fastest here AND in std. cells...)

I have always felt that they should split the semi sector into DRAM and everything else. The underlying strength of the other sectors will thereby show up. Of course LSI would no longer be able to make the (false) claims of being better or slightly better than the industry average in that case. I have never much cared for the way LSI compares their revenue growth rate with the entire industry and then says we did OK! If one removed DRAM then it would show that LSI underperformed! Of course this is all because of the little "transitioning to std. cells" theory. So I don't have a problem per se. Still it would be nice to see brutal honesty once in a while. Gives me a much better sense of what to expect in this and any of the other companies I track.
