>>If I still had AVEI I would definitely hold through this week.. <<

Thank you Jenna, for giving the lead-in to my sermon.

I owned AVEI from friday afternoon. When it failed to hold the 38 1/2 level early this a.m. I tried to get out; but my broker happens to be e-schwab, and e-schwab was so incompetent today that by the time I had given up on trading via the web and picked up the phone I was already down 3 points. Too late. The same with another stock which I bought at the open with a tight mental stop; when it it hit that stop, E-schwab was nowhere to be found. On two other trades, I was not able to get a confirm all day. So I cancelled. Now I find out (duh) that they were filled, WITH REPORTED TIME OF TRADES AFTER THE CLOSE, at prices lower than the reported closing prices.

All in all, my experience is that placing a trade on e-schwab takes about 5 minutes on a good day. On a bad day forget it. Today was a bad day and it cost me $5,000.

Schwab is incompetent and should not be used by anyone with a serious interest in trading.

Since I would love to get an e-mail from Schwab's legal dept telling me that I shouldn't defame such a fine institution, my e-mail is popery@yahoo.com.

OOPS, I forgot the P.S.. Back to my Chateau Souverain 1996, a pleasant Chardonnay that doesn't promise more than it can deliver. Unlike Schwab.
