X,

Houseplants! What about the houseplants! I know when I don't smoke around them they die in agony. When I smoke, the plants thrive. I know my houseplants are much healthier than those of my nonsmoking friends. I say, be kind to your houseplants!

Holly

I think the smoke just makes the bees feel like hell and confused so they don't know what to do next. There's still plenty of oxygen present amid the smoke. I think it just fuddles them with unfamiliar smells and sensations.

If I was blinded and smothered with smoke I would have a hard time losing my temper in a focused sort of way to go sting someone.

I would bumble around and try to figure what to do next.

The main equivalent in my own experience is the jargon of contemporary sociology and literary theory. But graduallyI am learning how to hold my breath and I may end up stinging some of these pedants.
