Based on past pattern of pc stock behaviour, tomorrow will be a down day for the stocks. Pc stocks appear psychologically desperate for any bit of good news to demonstate that the industry's growth is sound ... therefore we're seeing the stocks strengthening each time there is an earnings report.. even though when you scrutinize the report closely, they show fundamental deterioration of the business cycle. The day after an earnings report, reality sets in, and the stocks start to slide down again.

Jesting aside, this article points to saturation of pcs...

"But there have been other trends at work, some troubling.

devastated profits at Compaq Computer."
