I think part of today's rise is based on the market makers artificially maintaining low prices last week related to options expiration positions. All last week I sensed that the price fade was an attempt by the market makers to shake out the worry warts. As long as volume is manageable, it would seem to be a pretty easy thing to execute.

If you want an example of blatant unfairness of the market, check out the fact that early this morning orders cleared for $34. Basically, anyone that had an sell at market order in going into today, the market makers swooped in to grab the shares at 34 - what B.S. I would be very surprised if they didn't have excess buy orders that were sure to move the price up quickly, but decided to grab the cheap shares first.

I had an order in to sell at $38, and then I saw the options activity and decided that this rally is probably the real thing.

We'll see.
