I am already long BARR, am fairly happy with the # of shares I own as a % of my total portfolio, and more importantly didn't have the free cash to purchase more. However, I felt $12 was too bloody cheap so with BARRW I was able to take advantage of the recent dip in price while still getting a substantial profit impact of possible price appreciation. Basically you should look at BARRW as a LEAP (long term option). I believe that the warrants expire 12/99 and 4 warrants are convertible into 1 share of BARR, and the strike price is $9 and change? So "parity" is around $14 or so? In other words above that parity price, the warrant is "in the money" and 1 BARRW will appreciate $0.25 for every $1 appreciation in BARR thereafter.

(Speaking of equity options, I only wish that there were puts traded on KTEL!!!!! What a farce! If BARR would simply issue a press release with the word "internet" in it about 50 times, saying that they were going to market IONSCAN on the Internet, I think we would have a $100 stock within a week. I am only sort of joking.)

"While the FAA accounted for a majority of our sales for the quarter" - this is why the stock hasn't taken off I think.
