I would hope that the OptionsLink business is growing too, in which case there should be new OptionsLink accounts in addition to the existing accounts being converted. That would reduce the 52,000 you calculate. Still leaves room for decent account growth relative to Q1, but I can see why the analysts might be frustrated. EGRP used to release statistics every month for the key "business drivers", but stopped a few months ago.

OTOH, how many established brokerage firms out there release those kinds of operating statistics? Perhaps mgmt decided that releasing too much operating information might help the competition and/or make the stock too volatile. I'd rather see them focus on the business than play the Wall Street hype game with analysts.
