Innuit:

While Citrix turned in a very good earnings report, it was not a blowout quarter of the same magnitude as we are accustomed to seeing Citrix produce.

1. Sequential revenues were up about 15 percent.

2. Sequential net was up far less. Before charges, Citrix reported a net of $15M for Q497 and $16M for Q198.

3. Citrix cautioned that if Windows Terminal Server or Metaframe encounters a significant delay in shipping that it could have a material adverse impact on results. This kind of statement is unusual from Citrix.

I picked up some shares of Citrix earlier on Monday hoping for their customary blowout quarter. Obviously, I am hoping Wall Street interprets the report as very good so I can make some quick money. I guess we'll know tomorrow what the reaction is.

I do believe Citrix is well positioned for the short-term, but as we all know, visibility a year or two out is not really there.
