Good point.
I think the analysts are breathing a big sigh of relief tonight. The 1 billion + profit was in no way a "guarantee" as someone posted.
After the Intel shocker and the CPQ disaster (no profit)IBM leadership and shareholders should feel pretty darn good.

PC's are going the way of tv's. Comodities.

Mr Mark, I am definitely seeing it thru rose colored glasses but that will not stop me from writing some more covered calls at (what I hope is) the opportune time. If one of the big time analysts comes out tonight or tomorrow or Wednesday and says something like "IBM's earnings were quite respectable taking into consideration PC pricing problems,
Asia and currencies which can can only improve" ( maybe not currencies) then we are off to the races until that is, " the opportune time".
