What are the Jets, bud. I'll send you a check.

Gotta root for the Jets in my neighborhood.

Reggie's retirement is not a shocker. It has been speculated for some time now. I thought he probably would return due to the large contract he has and play about 1/2 the downs alternating with the new guys to teach them the ropes, but in the end I guess the back pain was too much. Butler stated that some will be glad to see him gone, although I cannot figure that one out...unless he was pushing a bit too hard with the religion bit in the locker room. Who knows. Anyway, we will certainly have a new defense next year. Doesn't bode well for the pack. We still, hopefully, should win the Central, unless Tampa gets it. I would hope for a return to the NFC Championship game and then from that point it will be a matter of coaching probably. If Holmgren can return to his old form, then we might make it, but I think realistically we are probably a wild card and win two play-off games. The winning the Central again comment above is probably also wishful thinking, although Fritz could put the defense together to have it work. Will be a rebuilding year no doubt.
