To the thread: 3DFX sure has a reputation as making better stuff than its competition. And, the market for their products surely is bigger than analysts suspect. And, its earnings are clearly strong currently.

Still, is everyone here comfortable with the financials. The book value is less than $4.00, and the company doesn't have lots of cash. For a semi/tech co. money can be very important because of the design life cycles. So, you pay $33 for a company that is worth $4 and is making $0.50 per quarter.

I still am very interested, but how does everyone else reconcile the duality of this picture?
