NEW KIMBERLITE DISCOVERED IN MALI PROJECT

KNOWN KIMBERLITES NOW AT TWENTY EIGHT

The Company is pleased to announce the discovery of a new kimberlite, Fili Yoro, in
the Kenieba Diamond Project in Mali, West Africa.

Mink is excited that it has recognized and/or identified deep-seated feeder dykes
within the West African Craton as the controlling geological structures for kimberlite
emplacement in the Kenieba kimberlitic and diamondiferous province. The Fili Yoro
kimberlite as well as the Samba and Yaya (April 6, 1998) were discovered utilizing
this significant observation.

Two holes were drilled into the Fili Yoro and a half tonne bulk sample was collected
and will be shipped to Ashton's laboratory for analysis. The Fili Yoro discovery, now
brings the number of known kimberlites in the Mink-Ashton joint venture project to
twenty eight (28).

The Company is presently drilling its next priority target while test pitting is ongoing
in several shallow magnetometer anomalies. Bernard Rowe, the Company's diamond
consultant on site, is continuing to conduct detailed exploration, including ground
geophysical surveys, to locate additional drilling targets.
