A hypertrophied basilar artery and its communication with the circle of Willis did yoeman duty for our saxophone player's congenitally absent internal carotid arteries. I'll bring the medical-journal article to our next 3D party. There's even pictures! BTW, this case harks from the days when CAT scans were still but a twinkle in The Beatles' eyes, so there are no CT scans of the anomaly.
