Seriously Jack, don't you think ASND would make a perfect partner with MSFT?

Sure, if MS were in the proprietary Hardware business.

But their business models don't match, coincide or match. M$ has nailed the PC Operating Systems and Server business, and they have some good applications software. They may even eventually get into some true Networking type of business... but IMO it won't be hardware like ASND. M$ would write code that puts the functionality of ASND's products into tomorrows PCs or some other open hardware platform. I think it would spell out a great cutback at all of the networkers like CSCO, BAY, ASND.

All ASND really does is develop code also. Only their code works on a proprietary platform.

You see, ASND is in the plumbing business. Just like me. We don't care a lot about what goes through the pipes. We just have to know that, if the packets of data are formed properly, we can get the packets where they belong. The plumbing has to be configured properly. As they say; That is the trick.

M$ is more interested (right now) in what the "data" is - inside those packets that ASND and I care about. They don't care as much as how to get the packets from point a to point b.

That's my thoughts...
